Abstract
U svakodnevnom životu susrećemo se s raznim oblicima čekanja u redu. Teorija redova čekanja je grana matematike koja proučava kako se redovi formiraju, kako funkcioniraju te ima li problema u njihovom funkcioniranju. Cilj teorije redova čekanja je dizajniranje uravnoteženih sustava koji služe korisnicima brzo i učinkovito, ali ne koštaju previše da bi bili održivi. Na početku rada upoznali smo se s osnovnim pojmovima i oznakama potrebnim za razumijevanje rada. Bavili smo se sustavima oblika M/M/1 koje je karakterizirala činjenica da vremena dolaska i vremena usluge imaju eksponencijalnu distribuciju. Također smo se pozabavili i malo složenijim sustavima, odnosno sustavima M/G/1 i G/M/1. Teorijski dio smo, uz pomoć R paketa ”queueing” i ”queuecomputer”, primijenili na stvarne podatke.
Abstract (english)
In everyday life we encounter various forms of queues. Queueing theory is a branch of mathematics that studies how queues are formed, how they function, and are there problems in their functioning. The goal of queueing theory is to design balanced systems that serve customers quickly and efficiently, but do not cost too much to be sustainable. At the beginning of this paper, we were introduced to the basic concepts and notations needed to understand the paper. We dealt with M/ M/1 systems characterized by the fact that arrival times and service times have an exponential distribution. We also dealt with slightly more complex systems, namely M/ G/1 and G/M/1 systems. We applied the theoretical part, with the help of the R packages ”queueing” and ”queuecomputer”, to the actual data.
