Abstract
U ovom radu predstavljamo specijalne vrhove povezanoga grafa koji se nazivaju graničnim vrhovima. Navodimo njihova osnovna svojstva, a potom definiramo i karakteriziramo granične pografove povezanog grafa te uspostavljamo odnose između graničnih, ekscentričnih i perifernih podgrafova oslanjajući se na već poznata svojstva ekscentričnih i perifernih grafova. Navodimo nekoliko primjera grafova u kojima granični, ekscentrični i periferni podgrafovi imaju jednak broj vrhova. Rad zaključujemo tvrdnjama o egzistenciji povezanih grafova čiji spomenuti specijalni podgrafovi imaju unaprijed zadane brojeve vrhova, fiksne ili ovisne o broju vrhova zadanog grafa.
Abstract (english)
In this thesis we present special vertices of a connected graph called boundary vertices. We list some of their basic properties, define and characterize boundary subgraphs of a connected graphs and establish relations between boundary, eccentric and peripheral subgraphs, relying on well-known properties of eccentric and peripheral graphs. We give some examples of connected graphs for which numbers of vertices of boundary, eccentric and peripheral subgraphs are equal. Final result in this thesis concerns the existence of connected graphs with prescribed numbers of vertices of the above mentioned subgraphs. These numbers are either constants or functions of the number of vertices of a given graph.
