Abstract
U ovom radu upoznat ćemo se s osnovnim rezultatima iz spektralne teorije. Prvo ćemo uvesti pojmove: spektar operatora, svojstvene vrijednosti i svojstveni vektori operatora i druge pojmove potrebne za razumijevanje. Zatim ćemo istaknuti povijesni kontekst razvoja spektralne teorije. Definirati ćemo pojam spektralnog radijusa te iskazati jedan od najvažnijih rezultata spektralne teorije: spektralni teorem. Za kraj navodimo značaj fizike u razvoju spektralne teorije.
Abstract (english)
In this final paper, we will mention the basic results from spectral theory. First, we will introduce the concepts of spectrum, eigenvalues, eigenvectors and other necessary concepts. Next, we will highlight the historical context for the development of spectral theory. We will define the spectral radius and state one of the most important results of spectral theory: the spectral theorem. Finally, we mention the importance of physics in the development of spectral theory.
