Abstract
Ovaj završni rad bavi se kromatskim polinomom koji je nastao u pokušaju dokazivanja teorema o četiri boje. Definirat ćemo kromatski broj i kromatski polinom te navesti njihova osnovna svojstva. Navest ćemo i neke primjene kromatskog polinoma u svakodnevnom životu – pri izradi rasporeda sati i zagonetke sudoku.
Abstract (english)
This bachelor’s thesis explores the concept of the chromatic polynomial which appeared in the attempt to prove the four color theorem. We will define chromatic number and chromatic polynomial and present their basic properties. We will demonstrate the application of the chromatic polynomial to creating class schedules and Sudoku puzzles.
