Abstract
U ovom radu bavili smo se statističkim pristupom koji se koristi za predviđanje vjerojatnosti određenih ishoda pod nazivom Poissonov model. Rad je podijeljen u dva dijela. Prvi dio analizira teorijske aspekte Poissonove distribucije, uključujući njenu primjenu u predviđanju rezultata nogometnih utakmica. Drugi dio sastoji se od implementacije Poissonovog modela unutar web aplikacije i primjene istog na ponude sportskih kladionica.
Abstract (english)
In this paper, we have discussed the Poisson model, a statistical approach used to predict the probability of certain outcomes. The paper is divided into two main sections. The first section provides a detailed analysis of the theoretical aspects of the Poisson distribution, including its application in predicting football match outcomes. The second section focuses on the implementation of the Poisson model within a web application and its application to sports betting odds. The integration of these theoretical and practical components demonstrates the model’s effectiveness in real-world scenarios, particularly in the context of sports analytics.
