Abstract
Finski obrazovni sustav poznat je po kvaliteti i efikasnosti, a bazira se načelu jednakosti i sustavnoj brizi o učenicima koji imaju poteškoća u svladavanju gradiva. U radu opisujemo glavne značajke i dajemo povijesni pregled reformi finskog obrazovnog sustava. Naglasak stavljamo na matematičko obrazovanje pa ćemo reći nešto više o obrazovanju nastavnika matematike, matematičkom kurikulumu i značajkama nastave matematike. Na kraju opisujemo nekoliko nacionalnih i medunarodnih istraživanja učeničkih postignuća koja su provedena tijekom posljednjih dvadesetak godina.
Abstract (english)
The Finnish education system is known for its quality and efficiency, and it is based on the principle of equality and systematic care of pupils who have difficulty in mastering the materials. The paper describes the main features and gives a historical overview of the reform of the Finnish education system. We put emphasis on mathematics education so we will say something more about math teacher education, mathematics curriculum and the features of math teaching. Finally, we describe several national and international research achievements that have been carried out over the last twenty years.
