Abstract
U ovom radu denirat ćemo osnovne pojmove matrčne algebre i navesti osnovna svojstva matrica. Pročavat ćemo pojam transponiranja matrica i njegova svojstva. Definirat ćemo simetričnu matricu te navesti i dokazati nekoliko svojstava takvih matrica. Detaljnije ćemo obraditi svojstvene vrijednosti i svojstvene vektore realne simetrične matrice koji omogućavaju posebni tip dijagonalizacije.
Abstract (english)
In this paper we will dene the basic notion of matrix algebra and state the basic properties of matrices. We will study the transpose of a matrix and some of its properties. The denition of a symmetric matrix will be given and we will formulate and prove some properties of such matrices. We will look at the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of a real symmetric matrix that allow a special type of diagonalization.
