Abstract
U ovom radu opisana su svojstva skupa realnih brojeva, počevši od prirodnih brojeva. Na samom početku razmatraju se osnovna svojstva komutativnosti, asocijativnosti i distributivnosti množenja prema zbrajanju te potreba za njihovim definiranjem. Dani su odgovori na učestala pitanja koja učenici postavljaju tijekom školovanja. Prvo poglavlje završava temeljnim pravilima vezanim uz razlomke, na koje se onda nastavlja pregled koncepata ključnih za daljnji razvoj skupa realnih brojeva. Takoder su opisane osnovne karakteristike decimalnog zapisa realnih brojeva kao što su periodičnost i jedinstvenost. U radu je dotaknuta i tema kardinalnosti, prilikom opisivanja važnog svojstva skupa realnih brojeva – prebrojivosti. I kao posljednje, navedeni su neki od bitnih teorema, koji su sveprisutni u podučavanju algebre, kao i njihovi dokazi.
Abstract (english)
This paper describes the rules for the real number system, starting from the natural numbers. At the beginning, the basic commutative, associative and distributive laws are considered; along with the need for their definition. Answers to the common questions that students ask during education are offered. The first chapter ends with fundamental rules related to fractions, continuing with the review of the key concepts for the further development of the real number system. Also, the main characteristics of decimal notation of real numbers such as periodicity and uniqueness are described. The paper addresses the topic cardinality when describing important property of the real number system – countability. Finally, some of the most important theorems, which are ubiquitous in the teaching of algebra end their evidence are mentioned.
