Abstract
Tema ovog rada su zanimljivosti i povijesne osobe koje su imale utjecaj na razvoj teorije vjerojatnosti. Vjerojatnost je jedna od novije formiranih matematičkih disciplina. Iako je bila široko zastupljena u svakodnevnom životu kroz razne događaje, tek sredinom druge polovice drugog tisućljeća znanstvenici poprimaju zanimanje za istraživanjem vjerojatnosti. Navedeno je kako je od običnih igara na sreću krenuo početni razvoj vjerojatnosti kao matematičke grane zahvaljujući velikanima poput Cardana, Pascala, Fermata, Huygensa, Bernoullija, de Moivrea i drugih. Navedene su i osnovne definicije i neki od prvih veliki zakona koji su postali temelj za daljnji razvitak vjerojatnosti.
Abstract (english)
Topic of this bachelor’s thesis are interesting things and historical persons important for developing theory of probability. Probability is one of newer branches of mathematics. Although things and events that were connected with probability were very often in every day life, the analysis of probability by scientists started just at beginning of second half of second millennium. In this thesis it is stated how from ordinary gambling games development of theory of probability has started thanks to great mathematicians like Cardano, Pascal, Fermat, Huygens, Bernoulli, de Moivre and others. Basic definitions and some of the first big laws that have become foundation for future development of probability are also stated.
