Abstract
Tema ovog završnog rada je određeni integral i neke njegove primjene u geometriji. U prvom dijelu rada definirat ćemo određeni integral, iskazati najbitnije teoreme o integrabilnosti funkcije, povezati pojam neodređenog integrala sa problemom rješavanja određenog integrala te uz primjere pokazati osnovne metode za rješavanja određenog i neodređenog integrala. U drugom dijelu rada opisat ćemo kako se određeni integral može primijeniti za rješavanje geometrijskih problema kao što su površina lika, volumen rotacijskog tijela i duljina luka krivulje.
Abstract (english)
The theme of this final work is a definite integral and some of its applications in geometry. In the first part of the paper we will define a definite integral, present the most important theorems about the function integrability, give the relationship between an indefinite integral and the problem of solving definite integrals, and through the different types of examples illustrate the basic methods of solving definite and indefinite integrals. In the second part we will describe how to apply a definite integral in solving of geometric problems such as: area of plane shapes, finding the volume of a solid revolution and the length of a curve.
