Abstract
U prvom poglavlju diplomskog rada proučavamo povijesni koncept razvoja pojma funkcije. Razmatramo s kojim su se problemima susretali matematičari i filozofi prilikom preciznog definiranja pojma funkcije. U drugom poglavlju definiramo pojam funkcije i temeljna svojstva vezana za funkciju: domena, kodomena, pravilo pridruživanja, kompoziciju funkcije, monotonost. . . Rješavanjem različitih zadataka na konkretnim primjerima prikazujemo svako navedeno svojstvo funkcije. U trećem poglavlju prikazujemo načine na koji se funkcija može zadati te ističemo njihovu primjenu u matematici. U četvrtom poglavlju proučavamo funkcijske jednadžbe i rješavamo različite tipove zadataka s kojima se susreću učenici u nastavi matematike. U petom poglavlju rada ističemo važnost poučavanja pojma funkcije te načine na koji se isti može uvesti u nastavu matematike. Razmatramo prednosti i nedostatke poučavanja ovoga pojma u današnjem školstvu te razmatramo kako profesori matematike mogu pomoći učenicima u razumijevanju funkcija.
Abstract (english)
In the first chapter of thesis we consider the historical development of the notion of function. We consider with which problems mathematicians and philosophers encountered during defining of the term function. In the second chapter we define the concept of function and basic properties related to the function: domain, codomain, rule of accession, the composition, the monotony. . . By solving various tasks on concrete examples we showed each specified property function. The third chapter presents the ways in which the function can specify and emphasize their application in math. In the fourth chapter we study functional equations and solve different types of tasks faced by students in mathematics. In the fifth chapter of the work we emphasize the importance of teaching the notion of functions and ways in which the same can be introduced into the teaching of mathematics. We discuss the advantages and disadvantages of teaching this concept in today’s school system and look at how math teachers can help students understand the function.
