Abstract
U matematici minimalnu i maksimalnu vrijednost neke funkcije nazivamo minimumom, maksimumom odnosno ekstremom funkcije. Ekstreme funkcije možemo promatrati na okolini neke točke ili na cijelom području definicije. Ovisno o tome, razlikujemo lokalne i globalne ekstreme. U cilju ilustracije ovih pojmova izrađeno je nekoliko vlastitih primjera. U tu svrhu, korištene su mogućnosti programskog paketa Mathematica.
Abstract (english)
In mathematics, the minimal and maximal value of a function are called the minimum and maximum, i.e. the extrema of a function. The extrema can be observed either within a specific range of a given point or on the entire domain of a function. Accordingly, there are local and global extrema of a function. In order to illustrate these terms, a set of examples was created, by the author of the paper, using the technical computing system Mathematica
