Abstract
Iako većina učenika, ali i odraslih ljudi, algebru vidi kao ”slova” u matematici, algebra je neophodna u matematičkom obrazovanju i važno je još u ranom osnovnoškolskom uzrastu krenuti postavljati temelje koji se onda s godinama nadograđuju. Nastavnicima je veliki izazov poučavati algebru i ključno je uspješno motivirati učenike što se može postići motivacijskim životnim primjerima, mozgalicama, slagalicama itd. No, prevesti životne situacije i probleme na matematički jezik predstavlja problem učenicima. Stoga je bitno s učenicima vježbati algebru od malena tako da se potaknu tečnost i razumijevanje algebre i kako bi kasnije imali što manje problema shvatiti algebru.
Abstract (english)
Although most students, as well as adults, see algebra as “letters” in mathematics, algebra is essential in math education and it is important to begin laying the groundwork at an early elementary school age, which is then upgraded over the years. It is a great challenge for teachers to teach algebra, and it is crucial to successfully motivate students, which can be achieved by motivational life examples, puzzles, riddles, etc. But translating life situations and problems into mathematical language is a problem for students. Therefore, it is important to practice algebra with students from an early age in order to encourage fluency and understanding of algebra and to have as few problems with understanding algebra as possible later.
