Abstract
U ovom zavšnom radu ćemo definirati pojam kompaktnosti topološkog prostora. Dokazat ćemo neka svojstva kompaktnih prostora i njihovih podskupova. Također ćemo pokazati kako se neprekidne funkcije ponašaju na kompaktnim prostorima. Proučit ćemo svojstva metričkih prostora i na kraju karatkerizirati lokalno kompaktne prostore.
Abstract (english)
In this bachelor’s thesis we will define compactness of a topological space. We will prove some properties of compact spaces and their subsets. Also, we will show how continuous functions behave on compact spaces. Some properties of metric spaces will be analyzed and in the end we will characterise locally compact spaces.
